Reflect, Re-Connect and Re-Learn”

We’ve all heard the saying, “Every setback is a setup for a comeback, and every challenge is a chance to grow.”  So, don’t be discouraged by challenges or some form of perceived hurdles. Instead, view them as stepping stones towards the best version of yourself. Keep in mind, the future belongs to those who believe in themselves regardless of what others think. Be patient, persistent, and positive.

Do you ever feel like you’re not doing enough? Or that you’re just not good enough? I have certainly had my share of feeling not good enough from my childhood and from people’s lack of perspective and just simple ignorance.

When you are at peace with yourself, you allow the negative energy of fear, stress, and anxiety to dissolve. When you open yourself up to the potential of untapped personal gifts, you hone into it more often, it comes more naturally to you.

Here are some tools to help you get into that state of calm and self-acceptance.

Conscious Breathing

Breathing deeply is a conscious way to bring peace to your physical, mental and emotional being. I’ve heard this throughout my adult years and used to think, it’s just breathing, but have come to realize that our breath is life, it truly calms and realigns our thoughts and keeps our blood pressure in check.

Feel and Express Gratitude

Gratitude for what is currently already yours is a wonderful way to calm any fear and anxiety. Gratitude makes you feel complete as you are in the present moment and releases the happy endorphins.

Slow Down

When things feel out of control, it’s easy to get sucked into the chaos and completely lose the ability to drop into the present moment. Check in with yourself, whether it’s with meditation, yoga, breath-work, or another form of mindfulness, helps you see and understand things with much more clarity.

If there’s nothing you can do about a situation, that’s okay. You have to just let it be and grant yourself permission to let it go. The thing you can control is your ability to choose how to respond and move forward.

That energy of yearning, searching and not-having creates huge stress and negative energy which blocks all the good you already have, whatever that may be!

New possibilities will always open new doors. And as much as we wished we could control every situation, control itself is temporary. So no matter what life throws your way, understand that there will always be changing variables. That’s why when you remember that everything is happening for your highest good, it’s that much easier to recognize unforeseen circumstances as possibilities that can change your life for the better.  You just have to be open to it.

We can oddly feel a sense of gratitude for uncertain times because it’s forces us to take inventory on our happiness and the wonderful possibilities that can come from the unknown. There’s power in knowing how to release control, especially when you learn to do it gracefully.

Take time to realize how far you’ve come. We don’t always realize how much work we’ve done because we’re continuously working – we don’t take the time to look back and see what we’ve accomplished. Every now and then, stop for a moment, take a look around, and compare your current situation to where you were a week, a month or a year ago. Do you see the distinction?

Never compare your life to the lives of others; they will never have the same experiences as you, therefore comparing is pointless. Take a moment to pat yourself on the back and appreciate everything you’ve gone through to get to where you are in your life. Make a note of everything you’ve done in the last year; you may be surprised.

Hi Whether it’s taking a leap of faith into the unknown or opting for something familiar, the decision is yours to make and will set the course for your journey. Remember, it’s not the destination but the journey that shapes us.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma-which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noises of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is just secondary.”
