Your Intuition ~ Listen to It

Have you ever had an experience where you had a strong gut feeling about something, but you ignored it… only to have it proven right later on?

Your intuition is like a built-in internal GPS unit, and if you allow it to guide you, it will direct you towards making the most authentic, soul-driven decisions possible that will lead you to a happier, more fulfilling life.

The fact is that we often receive intuitive “nudges” on a daily basis in the form of feelings of inner knowing, body sensations, dreams and so on – but we often don’t recognize these messages for what they really are.

Most people have overactive minds that cause them to listen to their noisy mental chatter instead of their intuition.

Meditate

To help quiet your mind so that you can more easily tap into your own innate inner wisdom, practice meditating, even if it’s just for 10 or 15 minutes per day. You’ll be surprised how quickly you’re able to hear the guiding voice within.

Pay Attention to Your Surroundings

As you go about your day, keep an eye out for messages from the Universe. Things like billboards, newspaper headlines and radio station song lyrics can sometimes contain information that you may find helpful in dealing with a particular issue that you’re facing.

Listen to Your Body

Have you ever had a feeling of heaviness about a particular decision or person that put you on edge? Or a tingling, joyful feeling after receiving unexpected news or meeting with a new person?

In addition to meditating and noticing what’s around you, start tuning in to the physical sensations you feel. Your body is one of the most powerful tools your intuition has in communicating with you!

And while it’s great to have a support system around us, and to use the external information at our disposal, oftentimes we often fail to seek wisdom in the most important source there is: our intuition

Our intuition is our inner voice and it’s always there to guide us in ways that no one else can. Our intuition also allows us to tap into collective intelligence.

Why do we often trust a stranger’s opinion over our own intuition?

“Give yourself a gift of five minutes of contemplation in awe of everything you see around you. Go outside and turn your attention to the many miracles around you. The five-minute-a-day regimen of appreciation and gratitude will help you to focus your life in awe.” ~ Wayne Dyer
